North Oakland ADU

Some projects test a team’s resolve before a single nail is driven. Sally’s garage-to-ADU conversion came with a series of compounding challenges — no designer, a firewall dispute with the City of Oakland that threatened to kill the project entirely, and a private sewer lateral issue without an obvious solution. Each time, Wolfe stepped in: connecting Sally with the right designer, engaging a specialist consultant on the firewall question, and working through the sewer lateral until a path forward emerged.

The result is a fully self-contained ADU with a kitchenette, full bathroom, living room, and all-new plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Sally now has a beautiful, functional space for family and friends — and a project she almost walked away from more than once.
